Saddened

I'm very sad that the state of Maryland allows abortions up to 9 months. It really makes me sick. If you've never been to this website and your feeling like you can stomach it, then by all means go and learn what really happens during an abortion. It shows actual pictures of how developed the embryos and fetus's are at different weeks. I cried and cried when I saw these.

Paranoid

Not in the sense that I'm looking out my blinds for midget FBI agents. But because I gave Gianna(2) childrens benedryl the other night and I watched her body slowly relax until I could lift her arm and just watch it drop. I gave her the correct amount. Believe me, I'm extra careful. I still go in the kids rooms in the middle of the night and feel their bellies to see if their still breathing. I check on them a lot when their asleep. Does anyone else do that to their 5 year old? Anyhoo, It freaked me out, so I just let her lay on the couch next to us while we watched a movie. Finally when I took her up she was a little more responsive. She's only had cold medicine one other time. She was like 1 1/2 and I gave her a little infants tylenol cold, she climbed the walls ALL NIGHT LONG! LITERALLY PEOPLE! I just hate to give them stuff. Motrin or Tylenol doesn't bug as much. Oh well. She survived. Like I said I'm a paranoid mama. I guess it stems from when they both got rotavirus(Last year) and Gianna had a seizure in my arms. I called 911, she went to the hospital, had another seizure and finally they decided to admit her. She was there for 5 days. It was so scarey I wanted to die! Aaron and I both stayed at the hospital the whole time. Luckily Hailee stayed with my mom while we were there. But she was with me when it happened and she still tells people about it. Watching your 18 month old have a seizure is devastating. It wasn't a Febrel seizure, it was from the toxins in her system from the virus. It took me forever to get over that. But she's a happy, healthy little TURD now, thank the LORD! I just love my kids so much and can't imagine what I would do if something happened to them.

Whirlwind

So a lots happened since we've spoken. I went to Philadelphia over the weekend for a bachelorette party. We took a limo. Went to a great dinner then proceeded to go on a scavenger hunt. First the art museaum where Sylvester Stallone runs up those huge steps in "Rocky". Then off to the Eastern State Pen. They have this huge haunted house in the prison where Al Cappone was held. It's supposed to be really haunted there and actually sits on 11 acres. We weren't going in it. She had to get her picture taken with someone in line. To make a long story short. This dude came up on stilts and scared the crap out of me, my wedding rings flew off and I could only find my engagement ring. We searched in the dark amongst tons of people and finally gave up. I said if it's God's will, it will come back to me. So I'm devastated but not wanting to ruin the night for my friend we go on to the next stop. Then we went to a Starbucks to pee. While I was peeing I hear Lauren banging on my door! When she took her sweat shirt off she heard a clang and my wedding band had dropped to the floor! It was a complete miracle. I was not even near her when I lost my rings. She had even taken her hoodie off multiple times. This means logically it had to have flown through the air went through her hair and the big boa she had on... Anyway God gave it back to me and everyone was just as speechless as me! And Starbucks of all places! Speaking of Starbucks , I'm going to be working at the one up the street from my house a few nights a week. My friend Amy who I worked with at Starbucks before, is now the manager at this one. I'm kind of sad to leave my family at night but kind of excited to get out of the house. It's just temporary. I think it will be good for me. Also I'm hoping to get pregnant soon, I actually peed on a stick today and it was negative. It might be too early to tell though. I hate this waiting every month. Anyone have any conceiving secrets?!

Tis' the season...

It's around that time of year when I want to exfoliate heavily with
THIS

Slacker

I've just been having so much fun reading everyone elses blogs that I've been slacking on my own. I'm sure if something interesting happened , I would have wrote about it. Aaron took Hailee to school this morning so I didn't have to rush around. My dear friend Mamac-ta should be on her way over to hang out and get this we're going to meet up for coffee after the kids go down tommorow night too. AHHH, finally some adult conversation in a public place. Maybe I'll even get to check out some books that aren't in the kids section! Now, if I could just find time to read them.

So this morning I was in the kitchen with Hailee and she was playing with our puppy Bella. She's chasing her around the table and I hear her say" DAMN she's fast" I didn't know if I heard her correctly so I said " What honey?" She said "I mean DAMNIT, she's fast!" I said "What?" "Oh, I mean she's fast" I explained to her , we don't say that blah, blah , blah. She said she heard it from her older cousin. Couldn't be from me :0) At least it's better than Gianna. Everytime she gets a glimpse of my pubic hair she says in her baby voice, all excited " Oh MY GOODNESS, you got hair hiney?!" I guess I need to do some landscaping. My curtains are currently not matching my hardwood floors. If you know what I mean.

NEED I SAY MORE

Bella nibbling on Gianna!

It's just one of those day's

I've had a cranky toddler on my hip for the past week, the puppy's still her puppy self, bills, bills, bills, I've rewashed the clothes in the washer for the 5th time because I forgot they were in there and... I feel like it's been a circus around here. This morning as I was trying to check my email, G was being little miss cranky pants (not her fault) and not to mention she's slept in our bed for the last week since she's been sick. We did get her in her bed for a good 3 hours so we could take care of our marital duties. If your asking yourself if it took three hours for us to bump uglies , the answer is no. I had on a nice push up bra and some lacy black tanga's from Victoria's Secret. I felt like we were dating again. Anyway, something in me snapped because she cried for mini muffins and when I gave them to her she cried some more. This is stupid but I took one of the mini bluberry muffins and chucked it as hard as I could, from the kitchen into the dining room. Later when I went to see the damage, I found that the muffin splattered all over our new furniture because it slammed into one of the columns my husband put up. That was fun to clean up. Then on my way to go see my good friend Laura who just had surgery, I had my hands full with Gianna and a bunch of other stuff and I walked out my door without my keys. Needless to say I locked my self out. Called Aaron he came to let me in. Anyway it's been hectic.

So I was over at Mamac-ta's and she was talking about pumpkin stuff. I sent her this recipe that I made last year. It was so good and easy, I thought I'd share it with you. If you ever watch the Food Network than you probably know Paula Dean. This is her recipe: Pumpkin Gingerbread Trifle

2 (14-ounce) packages gingerbread mix
1 (5.1-ounce) package cook-and-serve vanilla pudding mix (I used instant)I
1 (30-ounce) can pumpkin pie filling
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 teaspoon ground cardamom or cinnamon
1 (12-ounce) container frozen whipped topping
1/2 cup gingersnaps, optional

Bake the gingerbread according to the package directions; cool completely. Meanwhile, prepare the pudding and set aside to cool. Stir the pumpkin pie filling, sugar, and cardamom into the pudding. Crumble 1 batch of gingerbread into the bottom of a large, pretty bowl. Pour 1/2 of the pudding mixture over the gingerbread, then add a layer of whipped topping. Repeat with the remaining gingerbread, pudding, and whipped topping. Sprinkle of the top with crushed gingersnaps, if desired. Refrigerate overnight. Trifle can be layered in a punch bowl.

I highly suggest it.

MIA

I know it's been a while but October has been one busy month! I have been reading everyones blogs just haven't updated mine. Hailee's enjoying school and Gianna keeps me busy. Just when I think my house is somewhat in order I turn my head and a tumble weed of black puppy hair rolls across the sparkling white and black kitchen floor. I'm going to rip that freakin' floor apart. If it only hid some dirt, just a spec would do. But it doesn't. It looks really cool until you walk on it once. Any flooring suggestions for the kitchen? We have hardwood in the livingroom. That may be too pricey for our kitchen. It's pretty big. Ceramic? Is that cold? Laminate thats not black or white? I'm open to suggestions.

Enough about flooring. Poor Gianna's been sick. It started with a runny nose, then came a fever two weeks later. I took her to the doctor yesterday. She checks out fine. Lungs are clear, throat looks good and ears are gorgeous. Just a virus. The past two nights her fevers gone up to 103.4. Thats pretty frightening to me. Even though the doctors aren't to worried about it, it freaks me out. Then of course I can't sleep until hr fever breaks. So it's been pretty unpleasant. Hailee's working on her reading and is doing great. I'm excited for her. This means she'll be able to occupy herself by reading soon. Now if I could just get G to occupy herself.

On a sadder note one of my best friends sisters lost her baby. She and her husband tried for a long time to get pregnant. Finally they became pregnant and she ended up having placenta previa. The baby was due in January and she delivered about a week ago. The baby weighed a little over a pound. And sadly she only survived for two days. Her name was Rosalie. My heart goes out to her and her whole family. God be with them.

We have weddings and showers and dinners oh my, coming up and I don't feel like I stop moving. Thats the life of a mom though. Won't trade it for the world. Just adding more chaos like dogs and trying to have more babies. I wonder why it's taking longer to get preggo this time. I've had two miscarriages since Gianna so I'm hoping that Aaron has some good swimmers this TIME! It's kind of hard to get busy with your hubby when your kids are in your bed and sick. We could do it in the bathroom but we all know that sperm and gravity don't mix. I'd like to lay down for a while with my legs sticking straight up in the air afterwards. Well off to get Hailee from school. KISS KISS.
