Anniversary weekend

We just got back from a much needed weekend away. Our second wedding anniversary is on Oct. 25th. So we decided to celebrate with a weekend ALONE at Rocky Gap Resort. Only two hours away, the resort is located in western Md on Lake Habeeb. It was great to get away with my husband. We arrived late Friday night and pretty much hit the sack after a" little bit of bump and grind" We couldn't waste the opportunity. We wanted to sleep in but couldn't due to the fact that we are usually awake by 7:30am every morning with the kids. So we showered (together of course) and hit up the breakfast buffet. After breakfast we took a mosaics class and then headed up to the room for a little R & R. At 3:00pm we headed out to the golf course where it was cold and rainy. I didn't care, i just rode along in the golf cart eating a jumbo hot dog, sippin' on hot chocolate. He only played nine holes. It was just nice to do something together without the kiddos. Thanks to my mom and good friend Amy who were staying at our house with the little munchkins. After Golf we headed to the room for some more R & R ( not S&M ) and watched a movie until our 8:30pm dinner reservations. We had a little wine with dinner but didn't finish it all, we were stuffed and planned on having some drinks later. We hit up the pool and hot tub after dinner. Followed by some drinks at the bar. Followed by some more "ALONE TIME". Sunday morning came and we got some breakfast and headed into Cumberland to catch the 10:45am mass. After mass we went on the paddle boats, had some lunch and I retreated to the Spa for a 50min massage! It was absolutely heavenly! Then we came home to see the loves of our lives:0) I can't tell you how many times we talked about our kids to strangers and each other. We missed them terribly but really benefited from our weekend gettaway. I'll be posting pictures but Flickr's giving me some problems so it might take a while. We had the best time.
