The hair is ridiculous too. Our plan is to rip it up and maybe put down ceramic or something. We're open to suggestions. It's too much work the black and white. A dirt color would be perfect.

NOOOOOOOO! My favorite thing (that I've seen so far) about your house is your super cool floor. So very sad to see it go. But I can see your point. I HATE DIRT!
I'd be bummed to lose that floor too- it's super cool. However, I will say that we have a slate floor with dark gray grout, and it hides dirt and such things pretty well (I don't think it'd go very well with white cabinets though) The only problem I have with it, is that when I do finally mop it, sometimes I can't tell the difference between a dirty spot and something that's a natural part of the slate and end up scrubbing a spot to no avail... : )
Bella is sweet looking. It a hard call. White floor tiles show up everything where as black shows up all the dust. I dont know what you can do. Great floor though.
Wow. Yeah my relative has a floor like that with a lab and its always looks so dirty even though she says she just cleaned it. Now I believe her. I agree about the new floor but you could just do laminate in a beige color and it wouldnt show either.
hmmmm I dunno I trained my pup by taking her out every half hour then lengthening the time. Now of course my older dog is going senile or something cause she will go out pee stand there forever til I let her in then poop on my floor grrrr
Ha, anytime I ask for home stuff for gifts I always say "dirt color."
People w/out dogs really don't understand just how dirty they can make a house, even a clean dog. Don't even get into 2 dogs. More work than kids, at least mine our.
Bella is a sweet dog though. Ceramic is good, I like tile in the kitchen The 80s looking tile in my kitchen is perfect for hiding dirt. Too bad it's ugly as sin. Although I did like having the hardwood too like I had in my old house. What about Pergo? Or the cork stuff? I think that's probably very pricey. Oh do an Anne and a stained cement. Then you'll find me drooling all over your floor.
That is a cool floor! It would look really cool with my dining room table and chairs. You can get some nice tile that will probably hide the dirt better.
I like the black and white, but I understand wanting to simplify. Who has time to clean the floor every day? I like the Pergo idea-- that's our next project around here!
BTW, sorry I never got back to you on the movie. I got your post later. We watched The Devil Wears Prada. Emma goes down at 7pm, so it was more of a date night. Jeff was a trooper!
